Getting started with Bead Works

1

Pick how you start

Every design begins one of three ways: a blank grid you build stitch by stitch, a ready-made example pattern you customize, or a photo you convert straight into a pattern. Pick whichever matches what's already in your head — or your camera roll.

2

Design your pattern

Choose your stitch — peyote, brick, loom, gourd, medallion, star, or earring — set your bead size and brand, and start painting. The toolbar along the bottom handles painting, fill, selection, and more as you go.

3

Sync it (optional)

Sign in with Google to save your design to Drive and pick it up on another device — phone, tablet, or the web. Skip this entirely if you'd rather just work locally; nothing about the app requires an account.

4

Take it to the workbench

Export a clean, print-ready PDF for the table next to your beading mat. Track what's in your stash under Inventory, and let Bead Works build the shopping list for whatever a pattern still needs.
